Make it work!

Introducing funkadelic new clothing designs by :yours truly! The catalyst for these sassy new looks was my costume design class, which inspired me to finally dust off the ol' husquevarna and get my sew on! Look out Heidi and Tim, here i come! I am slowly but surely working on my technique, of course, because the Project Runway spotlights show no mercy...
Whats the occasion for these awe-inspiring threads? Nocturnal Wonderland festival and Lovefest parade San Fransisco... i love these events becuase everyone is an artist and dresses all out for the occasions in order to express themselves!  So much more fun than trying to look like everyone else...and why not!? Anything goes...which unfortunately includes people who chose their undergarments or no clothes at all...but hey, to each her own.
I found such freedom in wearing something that i put together with my own two hands, exactly how i wanted, with extremely with inexpensive fabrics- in contrast with the never ending racks of cheap, unfairly produced, cookie cutter crap that controls my generation. Talk about sticking it to the man! Big ups to M and D for giving me the opportunities to express my self and cultivating my passion for creative textiles!

the pale blue dot

i know i know, M is not a fan....sorry but i had to do it!
Carl Sagan was an American astronomer, astrochemist, author, and highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics and other natural sciences. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). I have been a huge fan since i first stumbled upon this inspiring observational learning guru. This doesnt mean i agree with everything he is all about, but i have learned from his teachings and am a firm believer in the power of knowledge.
The pale blue dot is a constant reminder of how precious life is here on earth, and "for small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love." I love all of you!
