....Since i loved dad and em's blogs so much, i decided to make one of my own for all of you to enjoy.
Ive been thinking a lot lately about how my my family means to me. No matter what they are always there, and really i would not be the person i am today without them. Having 4 sisters is a really unique experience, especially beacuase we are all so different! Anyway, i was looking through one of my notebooks that i write important quotes in, and i found a quote that reminded me of Dad, and as i browsed on i found quotes for mom, emily, mamie, and marie. And since i got excited each of you get two:
DAD:"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. That is where they should be. Now put foundations
under them." Henry David Thoreogh
"The most potent muse of all is our own inner child." Stephen Nachmanovitch
MOM:"There is a vitality, a life force, an enrgy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is
only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium
and will be lost. " Martha Graham
"Get someone else to blow your horn and the sound will carry twise as far." Will Rogers
EMILY: "There is no enlightenment outside of daily life." Thich Nhat Hanh
"Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. Meet me there." Rumi
MAMIE:"To know what you prefer instead of humbly saying amen to what the world tells you ought to prefer is to have kept
your soul alive." Robert loius Stephenson
"Why indeed must "god" be a noun? Why not a verb...the most dynamic and active of all?" Piet Mondrian
MARIE: "Character may be manifested in the great moments, but it is made in the small ones." Robert Southey
" Well timed silence hath more eloquence than speech." Martin Tipper
Finding these quotes really reminded how truly blessed i am to have each one of them in my life for different reasons. Hopefully everyone will like there selection... : )
